#150 How to Start an Archaeology Consulting Business, Part 3
#149 Happy Birthday, Chuck!
#148 The Final Permit Is In!!
The final document came today. Everything else has led up to this. I finally have my Nevada BLM Cultural Resource Use Permit allowing me to record sites across the state that are prehistoric or historic. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders. I've been talking to clients with the expectation that the permit would be issued soon but the days kept piling up. Only a small part of me thought that the permit would not be issued because of some small technicality that I wouldn't be able to overcome. Luckily, that was not the case.
#147 How To Start A Consulting Business, Part 2
In the first post of this series I covered the order of steps to starting a business, permits, the type of business you should operate, business licenses, and the employer identification number. If you haven’t read that post yet, go ahead and do so before you read this one. Just be sure to leave comments about how I screwed it all up and should have done things differently. I don’t want anyone else making the mistakes I’ve made.
#146: Big Changes on the Horizon for the Podcast!
I just wanted to let everyone know that the podcast will return in the next few weeks. I'm trying to put something together that will make it way more interesting. I've taken the last couple months off from doing the show because, well, it's winter and there just wasn't that much in the news.
This new format should not be so dependent on news and will include other topics and segments. I'm hoping that this will be the definitive CRM podcast! That shouldn't be too difficult since I'm pretty sure it's the only one right now.
If you'd like to help out with interviews at the 2013 SAAs in Hawaii, let me know. Also let me know if you'd like to guest blog about presentations you see at the SAA's.
Stay tuned for details and be sure to subscribe on iTunes or using whatever podcast listening device you use.
Thanks for reading and I'll see you in the field!
